This is one of the more interesting developments in switch technology to come along lately, and I applaud AEBoards for undertaking the effort to design, implement, and refine these switches. I prefer the gentler tactility of these domes to more punctuated domes (including, without limitation, stock Topre), and my typing accuracy is better with them than other types of Topre-like domes. The Raeds are compatible with my IPI Rain65M and Akko Fun 60 Pro (the latter of which provides the opportunity for "budget" EC options). Here's hoping that AEBoards releases new variations in dome tactility and weight.
Finally, I'd like to thank KeebznCables, who promptly responded to my inquiries about the switch and sent them out to me posthaste.
The feel of hitting that switch is interesting. But there was a problem. On my keyboard, the switch is not secured to the plate well enough, and the claws are not tight enough to allow the switch to come off easily with the slightest force.I think this is one area that needs improvement.
