Group Buy and Pre-order Policy

What is a Group Buy or Pre-order?

These are the products in our store pre-fixed with [Group-buy] or [Pre-order] in the title. These are not in stock items and will likely ship at an estimated future date.
A Group buy is essentially a kickstarter project. A designer and/or studio has a keyboard/keycap/switch concept which they have done some prototyping and testing and now would like to use the collective buying power of those interested to crowdfund into full production. At the end of the group buy period, customer orders placed will be collated and put forward to the manufacturer to move into production. 
While a Pre-order, in the context of Keebz N Cables, is either the additional units from a concluded Group-Buy that are available for purchase while manufacturing is in progress or a product that is currently in transit to Australia and will ship once arrived in our warehouse. The type of pre-order will be specified in the product description section.

How do I know you won't just take my money? 

Well... I'm glad you asked. We are an A rated vendor according to the Mechanical Keyboard Trust and Safety System. A system which aims to improve trust and transparency of vendors running keyboard and keyset group buys.
This means we have a proven track record of not taking people's money.

When will my Group Buy or Pre-order ship?

Estimates for when a product will ship from one of our ongoing group buys or pre-orders can be found on our updates page. Shipping estimates are subject to change due to many factors such as:
  • Manufacturing delays 
  • Customs clearance processing times
  • Logistics delays due to a natural, industrial action etc

We wish we had a crystal ball.

Can I cancel my Group Buy or Pre-order?

  • You can cancel your order at any time prior to dispatch by contacting us at support@keebzncables.com.
  • Cancellations of open group buy and pre-orders will be subject to a 3% cancellation fee. A full refund including waiving of the 3% cancellation fee is possible if you opt to exchange for store credit equal to the order amount. 
  • Cancellations of closed group buy orders will be subject to a 5% cancellation fee. full refund including waiving of the 5% cancellation fee is possible if you opt to exchange for store credit equal to the order amount.

Can I add or remove items from my Group Buy or Pre-order?

  • We can add items to group buys and pre-orders prior to shipment. Contacting us at support@keebzncables.com and we will modify your existing order and organise payment for the balance difference.
  • We can remove items from open group buy, closed group buy, and pre-orders. 
    • Removing items from an open group buy, and pre-orders are subject to a 3% transaction fee. full refund including waiving of the 3% cancellation fee is possible if you opt to exchange for store credit equal to the order amount. 
    • Removing items from a closed group buy are subject to a 5% restocking fee. full refund including waiving of the 5% cancellation fee is possible if you opt to exchange for store credit equal to the order amount. 

Can I mix Group Buy / Pre-order / In Stock items in one order?

Most vendors say no. But we allow it, on the condition that your order will not ship until all items in the order are in stock.

    Please note, store credits do not expire and are not transferrable. As refunds are made in AUD, international orders are subject to currency fluctations.
