DK1-TKL Introduction

After a period of preparation, we bring you this Full Copper Bottom TKL - the most budget, but no less premium.

The D-Series is a new line of products that GDK Lab is working on, which still maintains the geometric style of line-cutting as the main focus in design. We wanted the new line to be innovative and change the way we use materials and play with the core.

The All Bottom Case of DK Series is made of copper/Brass, for which we have brought two finishes

Brass/Copper Original Colour

The surface finishing of the copper is the major reason for the delay in progress. It is very difficult to make the copper to achieve the smooth and delicate texture like anodized, we have gone through 5 times of prototyping and debugging, the finished product makes us very satisfied, so that the copper bottom has the same feeling and fineness as the 180 mesh anodized.

Front Design

We have adopted a narrow bezel processing, the front of the most eye-catching when it comes to the badge above the arrow keys, we use two pieces of stainless steel parts combined with the same cutting and counterweight to modify the level of the same way, and at the same time will be the plane and the corner of the plane and the cut surface of the same body with a bright fog pvd process to do the visual differentiation, the sense of hierarchy is more intense. In the light strip we also carried out physical layering, so that the light can also be presented from bright to dark excessive effect!

Stone pattern process

We have added a stone process replacement for the front Badge, through a special process so that the metal can also show the effect and texture of stone.

Side Profile Design

The side expresses hierarchy by overlapping the top, middle and bottom parts, and we narrowed the front edge of the top cover to make the front edge visually more low-slung

Bottom Case Design

DEFINED is shaded in the center of the bottom case and is also the theme of the whole keyboard. We have set up multiple materials and processes for the counterweights to give them different visual effects when combined with the bottom case

Structure

Slotting

As the picture expresses, on the Bottom Case we have used a deranged slotting method, which greatly reduces the cavity space in its original state, allowing the kit to have a much better performance while completely forgoing Foam additions

Core Daughterboard

We have adopted the previous DIY player's sub-panel idea, the main control and key components integrated in the DB, while in the bottom case reserved signal openings, so that the stability of the wireless and the link distance is guaranteed, and then through the customized magnetic row of pins will be the matrix output to the board to achieve functionality, this move allows us to further reduce the cost of the board, allowing players to try a lower price for more guts to replace the game!

Gaskets Structure:

We set up a dual structure, silicone Plate Gasket structure and silicone PCB Gasket structure. At the same time we provide 1.6mm PCB and 1.2mm Flex-Cuts PCB, two kinds of pcb using different force arm and silicone parts, and each kind of silicone parts have two kinds of hardness, players can according to their own preferences for assembly. Two very different styles of inner liner can meet the needs of most players!
