After releasing two tactiles, we thought it's time to show linears some love. So.. enter the Taro N Sweet Potato, the 2nd switch in our Shaved Ice series. A switch inspired by the Taiwanese dessert of the same name that I first tried in Sydney back in 2010 (RIP Meet Fresh Perth).
A bit about the switch, it's a long pole linear with a LY stem and bottom housing for a buttery smooth key press and a deeper and lower pitched sound profile from the POK stem.
Switches are sold in packs of 10.
Quantity 1 = 10 switches.

Very nice. Hope they can upgrade it with RGB!
They sound very nice. Poppy but thock.
The verdor was very nice in adding my country to the shipping options. Thanks a lot. Recommended.
I'm really happy with them and sounds great, deep and marbly. The weight is slightly heavier than what I'm used to but it still feels nice and smooth, very little wobble if at all. Can become poppy as well depending on the keyboard setup but still a pleasant sound.
As someone who doesn't often reach for long poles anymore, these are one of my new favourites. Taro offers a deep clacky profile, or thocky sound profile with foam. If paired with a pp, alu, or cf plate you can really get some volume and more higher pitched sound signatures if that is suited to your preference. I tried mulitple configurations and found that all foams sounded fantastic however I was not a fan of the spacebar at all however that was due to the board and not to the switch (fucking plate flexcuts). I would recommend pairing this with a pc or pom plate in the future as pp plate does seem to take a way a bit of their deeper sound profile compared to others.
This switch offers a fantastic stock experience with no issues in lube, spring ping, leaf tick, or actuation issues and didn't find any inconsistencies in sound profile in my batch. However these switches do have delicate pins so be careful when inserting into your pcbs!
Overall I highly recommend these switches for the price if you are after a long pole linear with a deeper sound profile and a heavier stock spring weight without any need to modify. I will update with more configurations once I have gotten my own plates from plate mates service LOL.
I had video review for these and was still unsure about but I'm so glad I bit the bullet and bought these. The creamy thock sound is 100% the aesthetic I wanted to achieve.
The default springs are also perfect as they are, no mods needed.
deep thocky creamy, not muted, pleasant to type on. soft typing experience without any harsh sounds nor harsh feedback - 100% recommend
