I love these. They have the traditional medium tactile bump with excellent smoothness and a clean, snappy return that makes long typing sessions a joy.
One of the best sounding and feeling switches imo! Especially in a foamless build, they have this great snappy clack. The tactile bump is one of the most satisfying typing experiences. I use my keyboard as a fidget toy for hours with the Type R switches. Build: HH60 keeb, alu plate, no foam (force break though), Type R switches, and GMK Pompeii keycaps.
I've often felt a bit let down by super hyped switches but not by these. The Type R's are just so enjoyable in general with their incredible feedback, no spring ping or crunch, that they just makes you want to keep typing. Absolutely my personal favorite tactile that I've ever tried.
The gimmick of these is that there is no pre or post travel at all, but honestly it’s every other factor that make these great. The sound, the weight, the hardness of the bump are the standards I now use when buying any other switch
